Facility Operations Assistant
Jacobs Camp Jacobs Camp Utica, MS Utica, MS Temporary Full-time Temporary Full-time $15 - $17 an hour $15 - $17 an hour 10 days ago 10 days ago 10 days ago Start date May 30 (or sooner) through August 2, 2023 (potentially longer) Must have valid Driver's License Must be self-starter and able to work with a minimum of supervision Training and experience in low-level maintenance tasks, room set-ups and the movement/transport of large objects.
Ability to multi-task and work in a flexible, fast paced environment Ability to work under pressure and provide excellent service to the camp community Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
Responsibilities:
Assist in Operational responsibilities including but not limited to driving a camp vehicle out of camp for errands, setting up and breaking down chairs/tables for events, building furniture as needed, moving items around camp as needed, and general dining hall tasks Assist in general cleaning and sanitization of camp Act as general resource for other camp activities relating to Operations Exercise good judgment and safety consciousness at all times.
Act as role-model for safety with campers Directly responsible for some maintenance and upkeep of facilities and supplies Responsible for the health, safety, and happiness of ALL campers at ALL times Ability to lift at least 25 lbs without assistance Ability to maintain calm and composure in times of stress Ability to walk moderate distances Any other assigned tasks Typical end time:
